Buy an UPPAbaby travel bag and register the bag and your gear before you fly. Damage caused by the airline is then covered for four years from purchase.
Why it exists
Damage caused by airline shipping and handling is excluded from the standard UPPAbaby warranty. TravelSafe closes that gap, at no cost beyond the travel bag.
What is covered
- Damage to a registered UPPAbaby product while it is inside a registered UPPAbaby travel bag, in the care of an airline.
- Prams and strollers, portacots, RumbleSeats and bassinets.
- Four years from the purchase of your gear: three years of product warranty plus one additional year.
Register before you fly
- Buy an UPPAbaby travel bag for the pram, the RumbleSeat or the bassinet.
- Find the TravelSafe label sewn inside the bag. It carries a serial number. Photograph it.
- Register the bag and the gear on the TravelSafe registration form before you depart.
- Gate-check with the pram in the bag. Keep your boarding passes and baggage receipts.
How long registration lasts
You only need to register once. It stays registered for the life of the bag. A new pram in the same bag is a new registration.
Before you check in
Photograph the pram and the bag before you check them in. A before-and-after pair settles a claim faster than anything else.
If something is damaged
You have 14 days from travel. Lodge a request marked TravelSafe with:
- proof of travel: boarding passes or an itinerary showing the date
- photographs of the damage, and one of the whole product
- photographs of the bag, including any damage to it
- the serial numbers of both the gear and the travel bag
- your original purchase receipts for both
The limits
- Australia only. Your warranty is valid only in the country of purchase, and we ship only within Australia. TravelSafe covers your gear on international trips, but any repair or replacement happens here.
- It is not travel insurance. It does not cover loss or theft, gear that travelled outside the bag, or a bag registered after the flight. If an airline loses your pram, that is a claim against the airline.
- Report damage to the airline too, at the airport before you leave the baggage hall.

Good to know
Register before you travel Registration has to be done before you fly. It cannot be done afterwards, and a bag registered after the flight is not covered.
